The Armidale Community has again shown its support for a worthy cause and raised $17,500 for the School of St Jude in Tanzania.
The money was raised through a Trivia and Auction night held on Friday, November 3, at the Armidale Bowling Club.
“I am so excited to be able to give this money to the school to help the children who live in poverty, gain an education,” said Mums on a Mission mum and event coordinator, Lynda Lynch.
“I have seen firsthand how far this amount of money will go to greatly assisting in proving a proper schooling environment.
“Once again, the community of Armidale and neighbouring areas have shown their willingness to support this worthy cause.
“I thank them for their patronage. I also wish to thank the business community for their kind donations and without them, this event would not be successful.
“A big mention to the amazing PLC students that helped on the night, also Armidale Central Rotary, a job well done.”
