AFIRE destroyed a St Albans house last Sunday night.
A passing motorist noticed the flames coming out of the roof from the Main Road East house at 9.30pm.
Sunshine Metropolitan Fire Brigade officer Geoff Audsley said the fire was brought under control in 15 minutes.
No people were at the house during the fire, Mr Audsley said.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
