OWNERS of older Brimbank homes should check the quality of their brickwork after the death of a Keilor woman last week.
Sally Weir, the sister of television identity James Brayshaw, died when the top of her brick garage toppled on top of her. She was closing the garage at her house in Gerona St when a row of bricks fell.
Relatives found the 36-year-old soon after the accident and tried, unsuccessfully, to revive her.
In statements released last week, Mr Brayshaw said the incident was a tragedy.
“It’s a tragic, unthinkable accident. The family is absolutely devastated. We hope that everyone can respect our privacy at this difficult time,” he said.
