AS THE political event of the year settled on Werribee so did the beginnings of a daunting storm. Craig Rowley from LeadWest took these photos of last Wednesday’s storm approaching Werribee as the Community Cabinet, a meeting of Prime Minister Julia Gillard and her top Cabinet Ministers and residents of the West, got underway. While there was no reported damage from the night’s storm, politicians like Kevin Rudd and Peter Garrett were seen running for their cars after the meeting to try and avoid the rain. 73399 Picture: CRAIG ROWLEY
