Last week’s NSW Budget funds $66.959M for roads, bridges and traffic management in the Northern Tablelands.
A total of $66.959M has been allocated for upgrades to roads, bridges and traffic management across the Northern Tablelands, MP Richard Torbay said.
“Maintaining our road network is essential and there is always a long list of work to be done,” he said.
“Works included in this year’s budget will be welcomed by local communities as a step in the right direction.”
Some of the projects include: $18.497M for maintenance of state roads, $13.175M for maintenance of Traffic lights, signs and road markings $8.517M , to councils for regional roads, $7.72M for restoration of natural disaster damage to roads and bridges, $4.076M for pavement resurfacing on New England and Gwydir Highways, $800,000 for pavement rebuilding on Waterfall Way east of Wollomombi, $704,000 for pavement resurfacing on Waterfall Way, $384,000 for pavement resurfacing on the Oxley Highway, $300,000 for pavement rebuilding on Waterfall Way at Douglas St, Armidale and $500,000 to install shoulder widening and guardrail on Waterfall Way between St Helena Creek and Four Mile Creek in Wollombi.
