KEILOR’S Scope Balloon Football program is looking for volunteers to ensure its long-term success.
Every Monday participants come together to play in the North West Balloon Football League with games held at Keilor Stadium.
Balloon Football follows the same rules as AFL and provides an opportunity for people with a disability to enjoy playing a fun, social and competitive sport.
The games are played with a large inflated ball on an indoor basketball court with players using either powered or manual wheelchairs. Players are also able to have support on court if needed to push their chair.
The program is currently looking for volunteers to support players on court.
During the games, volunteers work with Scope staff to ensure players have a fun experience.
Anyone in the community looking to become involved in the program is encouraged to contact Scope’s Jemima Aitchison on 8311 4027.
