AS THE mercury reached sweltering heights in Williamstown last week, many locals headed to the local beach to beat the heat. The beach welcomed a large crowd of people, most of who were looking to slip on a hat, slop on some sunscreen and stay cool as local temperatures reached as high as 37.6 degrees Celsius last week. Many families and holiday goers enjoyed the school holidays by taking a dip in the water or by relaxing and enjoying time by the seaside.
