THE FORESHORE was the place to be seen last Thursday when the mercury soared in Melbourne. Hobsons Bay residents flocked to the beaches in Williamstown and Altona, with families making the most of the warm weather before the end of the school holidays. The Bureau of Meteorology’s radar in Laverton recorded a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius at 8am on Thursday morning.
