A NAKED cyclist ambushed a lone woman walking along Doug Grant Reserve near Altona beach on 27 December last year.
Police have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
Detective Senior Constable Mick Welsh, from Hobsons Bay CIU, said the victim “was approached by a male who was naked on a bicycle”.
The unclothed cyclist circled the 35-year-old female several times on his bike before leaving the area.
The naked man was described as being aged in his late forties to early fifties, with fair skin, dark hair and a medium build. He had a black bike.
Det Sen Const Welsh said Hobsons Bay police have not received many reports of indecent exposure offences this summer.
“So far it’s isolated but in saying that it may not have been reported,” he said.
Det Sen Const Welsh asked for anyone who has witnessed an incident similar to the naked cyclist, or who has further information about the crime, to contact on Hobsons Bay CIU on 9392 3284.
