Relative skills

FOOTY smarts must run in the family after Ashley Byrnes picked eight winners in the Armidale Independent footy tipping competition last week.
Ashley followed in her father Allan’s footsteps after he managed to successfully tip eight early in the year.
That time, Allan picked up $250 for his efforts, while Ashley collected $150 from New England Mutual yesterday.
The 18-year-old Guyra Central School student said she would spend some of the money on clothes and make-up and the rest on a Mother’s Day present for her mum.
There is no tipping this week due to the NRL taking a break for the international matches, but the competition will resume next week, with $50 up for grabs to a person who can tip eight winners.
