Help make ends meet

IF YOU can spare a few items from your trolley to help those in need next time you go shopping, 4 Life Care and Training would love your help.
A not-for-profit, non-government funded charity 4 Life Care and Training exists to ease the burden of the cost of living for locals struggling to make ends meet.
In July, staff are taking their refrigerated trailer around to local businesses and asking for donations of fresh and non-perishable food for food packages. They would also welcome items such as stationary and toys and items to use as prizes in fund-raising raffles.
“We supply food hampers and training in living skills for those doing it hard, and, as the need for our service grows, we are desperately trying to keep our shelves stocked, so we can keep providing this service to our clients,” a spokesperson said.
“Your help would be most appreciated.”
They will be at the Woolworths car park in Laurieton tomorrow 11 July between 9.30am to 10.30am and Woolworths car park in Lake Cathie from 11.30am to 1pm on the same day. On Thursday 24 July, they will be at Woolworths car park in Kempsey between 9.30am to 11am and Supa IGA Wauchope between 1pm to 2pm, also on that same day.
If you cannot make the donation drive dates but would love to help, drop your items off at Bay 22, 10 Bellbowrie Street, Port Macquarie – open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9-5pm. You can also contact them on 6584 2951, email care@4life.org.au
