Hey Buddy, can you spare a rhyme?

Scott Cameron as Buddy Holly - rekindling one of the most famous eras of rock 'n' roll.

IT ALL began in 2004 after Scott Cameron answered an ad in the local newspaper for auditions for Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story.
Beating over 800 other applicants for the lead role, Scott has now notched up an amazing 1000-plus performances as Buddy Holly in the past 10 years.
Buddy Holly was one of the greatest pioneers of rock ‘n’ roll music in the ’50s and even though his career spanned only two short years he left behind a wealth of material.
Scott “Buddy” Cameron has become the single most recognised Buddy Holly performer in the world. He received rave reviews for his portrayal of Buddy Holly in the musical Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story and has also toured internationally with Memories Of Buddy Holly and several other productions.
“Over the past 10 years, I’ve been very lucky to continue to play the part of a man who inspired me in so many ways,” Scott said.
“I have to keep reminding myself that my life is not a dream and this has really happened.
“I feel like the luckiest person alive and so blessed to be doing what I love more than anything and keeping alive the legacy of the man who inspired me.”
Scott describes his current show, Buddy: The Concert, as “one heck of a rock ‘n’ roll party”.
“You can expect to hear all the top hits like Peggy Sue, Rave On, Oh Boy, That’ll Be The Day, Everyday, Maybe Baby, Heartbeat and Not Fade Away as well as Holly’s versions of hits from artists who helped develop Holly’s sound,” he said.
Scott will be bringing Buddy: The Concert to the Glasshouse on Friday 18 July.
