Clark art has appeal

Samantha Clark’s artwork is turning heads in Port Macquarie.

A PORT Macquarie emerging artist is turning heads after putting her work on display at Long Point Vineyard.
The Hey Stella Creative Living exhibition is fronted by Samantha Clark, a young artist paving an auspicious art career both locally and nationally.
After completing a Diploma in Arts (Interior Design and Decoration) on the Gold Coast, Clark returned to her beloved hometown.
Growing up in Port Macquarie, rich with her family’s history, Clark said she saw the world as a smorgasbord of inspiration.
Her art is a brave release of self-storytelling through colour, form and written words.
“I find the very beginnings of putting marks onto canvas a new and refreshing adventure and revel in the chance to break design rules,” she said.
“A piece becomes more challenging, more engaging, and much more memorable when the rules are visually questioned.”
Absorbing inspiration like a sponge, Clark has developed a fearless and effervescent signature style.
“As a painter of passion for the last 15 years, I developed a highly experimental style as I searched for myself and my signature,” she said.
“When I learnt that art is art if you say it is, I relaxed into the natural rhythm of my experiences and opened myself to a creative life.”
You can catch Clark’s artwork at the Long Point Vineyard until the end of the month.
