Stuffed full of comfort care

Stuffing away, from left, are president Margaret Brown and new members Janette Peasley and Pauline McKersie.

THE Port Macquarie CWA Evening Branch ladies have been stuffing!
No, not turkeys or chickens, but trauma teddies.
Members have been knitting and stuffing these colourful teddies to distribute to such people as ambulance officers.
The teddies are then on hand to give to young children as a comforter if they have to ride in an ambulance to hospital.
They are a cuddly toy to keep when they return home.
The branch is currently recruiting new members so who may like knitting or sewing or want to learn about a different country, animal and plant each year.
As a spokesperson said, there is much more to the CWA than just tea and scones.
The evening branch meets in the Lions Den in Hastings River Drive on the third Wednesday of the month at 7.15pm.
