YOUNGSTERS in Melton have more chances than ever to get active and build a love for Victoria’s favourite game.
Melton Auskick Centres are at four locations in Eyenesbury, Kurunjang, Melton and Melton South.
District manager Peter Binek says the centres are a place for all ages to learn new skills and nurture a love for football.
“We provide a program that teaches the children of Melton the fundamentals of playing Australian Rules Football. We provide a safe and fun program for children as well as parents.”
Kids can benefit from top rung coaching by award winning staff.
Some of the children play football at the MCG or Etihad during the year as well as regional round robin or half time games at local games.
Auskick has been running for more than 25 years, and Peter has been part of the program for 17 years.
Auskick started as a national program in Australia to develop and promote participation in Australian Rules Football by children. It has proven to be popular with both boys and girls.
It is now employed in many countries across the world as a strong vehicle for introducing young people to Australian football.
