EVEN as a tiny tot, Jordyn Bartolo loved to sing.
The Ardeer resident would run around the house, Wiggles microphone in hand, belting out her favourite tunes.
And now, she dreams of singing under the bright lights, in front of sell-out crowds.
“I’m so comfortable on stage,” the 15-year-old said.
“When I’m out there, I just want to stay on stage and not get off.
“I just love performing.”
The Caroline Chisholm College student is playing the lead role in this year’s school production, Annie, and said she lived and breathed music.
“I want to pursue a career in musical theatre.
“I know I will just have to work as hard as I can.
“I think there are great opportunities for young performers out there.”
Jordyn, in Year 9, took part in last weekend’s Star Search Competition at Highpoint singing Jessie J’s Price Tag.
She said she always put her own spin on the songs she sang, to make them like her own.
