FOODIES who enjoy cuisine that is interesting and sometimes exotic are urged to take part in the Maribyrnong City Council’s Progressive Dinner.
The Footscray Reference Group will host the event, walking to a series of nearby restaurants in the Footscray central business district and sampling their fare.
Chair of the reference group councilor Janet Rice called it a “dining experience”.
“It’s a unique and memorable activity that is not only great for the participants.
“But also achieves the goals of (the) council and the Footscray Reference Group to promote the exceptional and diverse restaurants in Footscray,” she said.
The dinner will start at Victoria University’s Terrace Restaurant before moving on to an African and Vietnamese restaurant and finish at the Dancing Dog Café.
Tickets costs $50 each and they include pre-dinner drinks, entrée, main course and a dessert.
Vegetarians will be catered for but bookings are essential.
