With more than ten years entertaining audiences throughout Australia and overseas, Blue Poppy prides itself in an ability to perform a wide range of musical genres in its own unique and
exciting style.
Jennifer Matthews on lead vocals, keyboards and percussion is a consummate entertainer with more than 20 years’ experience, her vocal abilities are superb.
Voted “Best Female Vocalist” in the Gold Coast Music Awards, her offbeat humour and on-stage antics keep
audiences spellbound!
Jennifer’s motto is “involve the audience” and true to this, you are most likely to find her moving from stage to dance floor throughout her performance.
On guitar is Adrian Stuckey, Assistant Music Director of New Zealand idol. Throughout the evening you will find Adrian playing anything from Pan Flute, to Bass, to Percussion and even Ukulele, not to mention his fabulous lead vocals and harmonies. Away from the band, Adrian is one of Australia’s top Studio Engineers working with the likes of Split Enz, Crowded House, the  Finn brothers and Warner Australia.
Paul Harris on lead and rhythm guitar, vocals and sound production has an extensive background in the music industry from live performance to studio sessions.
His solid guitar grooves and fluid vocal harmonies complement Jennifer’s entertainment prowess, whilst his production abilities ensure the Blue Poppy sound is crystal clear.
Last but not least is Ian Salter on vocals and percussion. Ian is Blue Poppy’s newest member and known around the world for his ‘Buddy Holly” and “Abba” tribute stage shows. Ian’s ability to capture an audience’s imagination comes to life when he “sings in character” whilst performing flawless percussion grooves.
