Is tennis like politics?

I’ve watched some cricket and tennis finals in my day.  One does not like to see the ultimate winner win purely on their opponent’s unforced mistakes.  But one has to admit this last NSW election could be blamed on not only the last ALP government’s mistakes but also the Coalition’s good game.
For Independents Tony Windsor and Rob Oakeshott to not take any responsibility in the dumping of three State Independents, particularly Peter Draper, is not at all agreeable with what their electorates think.
If either supports the ALP’s stupid carbon tax and even worse, Wilkie’s precious gaming machine restrictions, and force States to adopt it, that’s  constitutionally illegal.   If they do I doubt if they deserve to be reelected again!
I can understand them supporting the ALP during the hung parliament debacle. But that doesn’t mean they have to  continue to support this government in everything they propose.
As I say this, the Federal coalition should reconsider the hard line policy for restricting welfare payments etc. It’s OK to say work for the Dole, they tried that it didn’t work.  Most fruit picking is regional, casual and in isolated areas.
What about asking long-term unemployed to help out as a volunteer, (unpaid) not forced to, with various registered charities, bush fire or SES.  (That is in force, by the way, for some.) Tried that and volunteers were restricted with some, because of O, H & S legalities.
Stand up and be counted Tony and Rob! Bite the bullet! Stop sitting on the fence getting splinters in your backsides while waiting for your pensions! Or retire now, and let someone else stand up for the true political opinions of your electorates which you should be representing and supporting.
