ANZAC Day valued at Centaur

Honouring the soldiers whose lives were devastated protecting our country’s freedom, Centaur Primary School captains and student representatives, staff and family members proudly walked together at the ANZAC Day march in Coolangatta on Monday April 25.
Anzac Day continues to be a valued and prominent commemoration for Centaur Primary. Through speech and song the local school reflected upon the price paid by the men and women who lost their lives in the ultimate sacrifice and honoured their spirit of loyalty, mateship and courage in a moving service on Thursday March 28.
School Captain, Lawrence Miles-Mwangangi, read, “Anzac Day is a day when we remember, honour and express our gratitude to those who fought to protect our beautiful land. We are thankful that we live in this free and peaceful country and hope for continued peace – peace in our world, peace in our country, peace in our communities, our school, in our families and in our hearts.”
