View gets ‘all shook up’ over birthday

Twin Towns Day View Club celebrated its 43rd birthday in style last week with a pink and black dress day and even an Elvis impersonator.
Federal Member for Richmond Justine Elliot was among the guest for the event held at the South Tweed Bowls Club on May 5.
Justine congratulated Club members and thanked them for the significant contribution they make to our local community.
“I would like to congratulate the Twin Towns Day View Club on this special occasion and thank them for the outstanding work they do within our community and the difference they make to the lives of so many,” she said.
“View Clubs play an integral role in providing friendship and support and educational opportunities for disadvantaged Australian children and their families.”
The Twin Towns Day View Club was formed in 1968 and is celebrating its 43rd birthday this year. View Clubs of Australia was formed in 1960 by the Smith Family to give women a group that gave them the opportunity to meet regularly with other women of all ages and walks of life, discuss and exchange ideas, learn new skills and develop new interests and help others.
View Clubs of Australia has more than 21,000 members in nearly 400 communities. VIEW stands for the Voice, Interests and Education of Women.
