Thanks to a lot of local support Kombi Lady, Allana Cronan, looks set to become a “bronze Aussie” when she takes part in the Variety Club bash in August.
With her Kombi paintwork now filling up with willing sponsors, Allana will exceed the minimum fundraising level of $7500. In fact, as of Monday (after a weekend at Cooly Rocks On) Allana is already on $7650 and is on the way to the $8000 bronze level.
“I kind of like the sound of being a bronzed Aussie,” she laughed.
Her latest sponsor is Goodyear Autocare at Tweed Heads, with Terry Mansfield-French adding his businesses name to the Kombi.
Her next major fundraiser will be at the Palms Restaurant at Hastings Point. Under new management, the restaurant is having a renaming competition and will do the Variety dinner under its new name.
