Warm grooves on a cool night at the Loft

Tweed’s Lissy Stanton Band will headline a great night of acoustic folk pop rock music, with three quality interstate touring acts in support!
Lissy and the band will be joined by Jordan Millar, Leroy Lee an Lelly K at the Loft on the Gold Coast on July 9.
Lissy is an accomplished musician, singer/songwriter and audiences are drawn in to her natural warm style and gorgeous vocals.
Kimon Peters and Justin Pfeiffer add the perfect dimension to the Lissy Stanton Band with their unique stylings both as performers and recording artists.
Lissy is a storyteller who writes from the heart and draws her audience into her energetic live performances.
Lyrics are the focus and Lissy knows how to deliver them with a delicious twist to create a connection with her audience through her song writing.
A live show with Lissy and the boys is a personal invitation into their sound lounge where lush lyrics and melodies reach out and touch souls in a unique and personal way.
After being handed the award for ‘Best Tasmanian Artist’ by Michael Chugg in 2007, 18-year-old Jordan Millar moved to Sydney and has since been relentlessly touring Australia.
He’s launched his debut single ‘Lost My Way’ on the Channel 7 Morning Show, he’s got a list of supports that include Cliff Richard, Colin Hay, Mental As Anything, Brian McFadden, Tim Freedman, Katie Noonan, Ian Moss, Diesel, Delta Goodrem, Lisa Mitchell and many more. Currently championing his new ‘Everything EP’, Jordan is adamant that he is only now truly honing his craft as a songwriter.
Joining them will be Triple J’s Unearthed competition winner Leroy Lee.
Leroy won the prestigious national competition with the lamplit folk tune “Drawing Smoke”. He has been criss-crossing the country with the likes of The Frames (The Swell Season), Missy Higgins, Lior, Kaki King, Lisa Mitchell, Jeff Lang and Jeff Martin.
He has performed at notable venues such as The Sydney Opera House, and The Palais Theatre. His songs have also found their way onto Australian and US radio and TV soundtracks, including Packed To The Rafters.
Performing mostly solo, Leroy brings a rich tapestry of sounds, songs and images, with various guitars, a trusty homemade wine box-foot-drum and a warm voice to the stage.
Rounding out the night is Lelly K. Lelly has been singing most of her life, with an impressive former career as an opera singer and in musical comedy, but has only recently found her niche in rock and roll.
Since this discovery, her vibrant and unique style has been described as ‘soaring like a musical eagle’.
Her current showcase is a powerful and eclectic mix of retro rock ’n’ roll, with soft, original folk ballads as well as influences from punk, country, pop, cabaret, flamenco, gypsy and opera.
Her style is described as ‘Kate Bush meets Patti Smith’, with further comparisons made to Dusty Springfield, Jefferson Airplane and ‘twinges of The Pixies’.
