With summer fast approaching, it’s time to start thinking about your next adventure in the great outdoors and what better place to plan and see for yourself some of the latest outdoor recreation products and have a great time with the family, than at the 2012 Outdoor Recreation Expo and New England Antique Machinery Rally being held from this Friday, November 9 to Sunday, November 11 at the Armidale Exhibition Centre.
Double the fun for a single entry fee, the two great events have combined for the first year in 2012, to offer something for everyone. The New England Outdoor Recreation Expo will have a huge undercover area with exhibitors showcasing the best new outdoor products.
Ged Oldfield, President of the Rotary Club of Armidale North, is confident that there will be fun for the whole family.
“There will be a wide range of caravans, campers and anything outdoors will be there,” said Ged.
“The Travelling Fishing Show and the Paws Up boys with their dogs will be giving demonstrations on Friday and Saturday at 11am and 2pm and, of course, all the antique machinery will have regular demonstrations throughout the three days.
“We have widened our scope with our association with the New England Antique Machinery Rally so people will be getting more bang for their buck.”
As usual, there will be a huge selection of caravans and campervans, 4WDs, camping equipment and accessories, plus returning this year will be the popular fishing demonstrations from the massive fish tank, plus rides for the kids. Graham Betts Caravan & Marine Centre has once again come on board as the major sponsor, with other sponsors including McDonalds Armidale, Hubbard Party Hire, Armidale Ex-Services Club and New England Mutual.
“Graham Betts Caravan & Marine Centre will be bringing about eight caravans, a couple of boats, the latest Holden 4WDs and motorbikes, all reduced for special Expo deals,” Graham Betts said.
“The new venue should be terrific and joining with the antique machinery guys should be a lot of fun.”
