Successful night of Thai culture

Over 120 people turned up to the Armidale Waldorf school on Thursday, February 21 to enjoy a night of Thai music, dance, food and culture and to support the Baan Unrak School Project in Thailand. Attendees enjoyed a variety of entertainment, along with a delicious Thai feast. Despite the wet weather, the event was a great success, with the highlight of the night being the classical Thai dance performance by May, a Thai student at the UNE. Her two dances, performed in traditional Thai costume, had everyone spellbound with the beauty and quality of the performance.

The organisers would like to thank all the performers, everyone who came along, as well as the supporters of the evening, including the Community Mutual Group, the Armidale Waldorf School, the Khow Thai and Happy Thai Restaurants and the Food Shed.

Over $1500 was raised for
the Baan Unrak project in Thailand and will go towards developing infrastructure for the school.
