You are completely correct, numerically our effort in reducing carbon emissions does not stack up, but numerically it never does, Australia is a small nation.
Numerically our soldiers, scientists and sportspeople don’t stack up either, but their impact sure does. It’s called “leading”, it’s called “punching above your weight” and that’s what we do.
