Chance for bands on world stage

THE Global Battle of the Bands is heading to Armidale next month.
GBOB is an international event that involves 30 countries and boasts a first prize of $100,000.
Armidale bands looking for a head start in their music career and a chance to play on the
world stage should apply to take part.
Great original artists of all ages that have not yet received the recognition they deserve, now have the chance to make it big through GBOB.
As well as a trip overseas to the world final, there are plenty of other prizes to be won.
This year, all heat winners will be given four custom-made band T-shirts by LabelState.com plus the opportunity to have ongoing band merchandise supplied from which they can earn royalties, all at no cost to the band.
The Australasian final winner will also be featured on the busy music website hotsource.com.au and have the opportunity to be covered by Home Brew Radio and Australian Guitar Magazine.
The Armidale heat will be conducted on Monday 9 December from 7.30pm at The Armidale Club. Bands wanting to take part need to contact organisers by emailing redletter@bigpond.com or calling 9519 3978.
Tickets are $15 at the door and it’s an all-ages event.
