HUNDREDS of hours have been dedicated to tackling weeds in the region, with serrated tussock a particular concern of New England farmers.
The New England Weeds Authority is inviting owners and occupiers of smaller rural holdings to an information day on noxious weeds.
The event will be held this Saturday at the Old School Block at 35 Dumaresq Dam Road, Armidale.
The information day will show local landholders how to identify, manage and control potentially devastating weeds on their properties.
