GUYRA boarder Kate Moffatt will lead PLC Armidale’s student body next year after she was voted head prefect by her peers and staff.
Moffatt will be supported by Armidale student Erin Wright, who is the deputy prefect for 2014.
Wee Waa’s Georgina Haire was voted sports prefect, while Tamworth’s Laura Crandell will lead the creative arts department.
The new student leadership team was inducted in a special ceremony at the newly completed Astra Arts Centre.
The 2014 elected prefects’ first assignment was to attend an informal Q&A session on leadership with Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall, who told them that age was no barrier to achieving success.
