FANS of Dancing with the Stars can experience the TV show setting first-hand when Armidale brings its own version to town this Saturday.
Contestants will frock up and hit the stage at the Ex-Services Club to raise money for The Cancer Council.
Lindy Hardman, a local hairdresser and fitness instructor at SportUNE, has signed up for the event.
“I jumped at the opportunity. I love dancing and like many families mine has been touched by cancer, so I was very keen to be involved,” she said.
Ms Hardman has raised more than $2000 through a raffle, donation tins and a number of fitness classes held at SportUNE.
Donations can still be made at the front counter at SportUNE to support the cause.
Saturday night’s event promises to be entertaining and tickets are still available from the Ex-Services Club at $50 per ticket, which includes a light supper. Doors open at 6.30pm.
