LYNCHES Road supermarket Spar Express says it preparing for its biggest day of the year as it opens its doors on Boxing Day.
Owner Dave Dorrian said the supermarket only closed one day of the year – Christmas Day – and that business soared on public holidays.
“Boxing Day has always been our biggest day of the year as we’re the only supermarket that is open,” he said.
“People know we’re open and pack it out.”
Boxing Day shoppers can win $100 as part of an in-store promotion by Dairy Farmers, Mr Dorrian said.
“If you buy one of their products you can go into the draw to win $100, which will be drawn on Boxing Day evening.”
