Strokes ahead

SWIMMERS from the Armidale Amateur Swimming club have taken it up to their coastal rivals at the North Coast Swimming Summer Championship.
Chloe and Emma Gray and Lilly Ridges all performed admirably against tough competition.
Chloe won gold in the 10 years 100m breaststroke and was second in the 10 years 50m breaststroke.
Lilly won the nine years 100m butterfly and smashed nine seconds off her previous best time to place third in the nine years 200m individual medley.
Emma, who is eight years old, had to swim up an age group and achieved several personal best times.
The club has had competitors in several carnivals over the past month, including Tamworth, Inverell and Glen Innes.
