Centaur students strut their stuff

Centaur celebrates their students awesome talents in an upcoming showstopper this week.
In between daily math and spelling lessons, students have been scurrying to and fro in preparation for the big event.
Instruments have been shined and tuned while voices raised in song have been heard practising mixed with the blast of trumpets and the beating of drums.
Dancers’ muscles are stretched, choreographed routines are learnt and costumes have had their final alterations.
Between hushed murmurs (so lessons aren’t disrupted) the serious faces focus on instruction in final rehearsals as the excitement of the show mounts around the school.
The school’s boys hip hop dance group, Class Dismissed, are ready  to ‘get outta tha minds’ after sweating it in weekly rehearsals.
Twenty-year-old dance teacher, Monique Lampard, leads the group each Monday in an intense hour of hip hop.
Following the rigorous choreographed sessions, the boys get to let off steam and bust out in a round robin of dance expression.
Keyed up for the night the boys are all set to put on a show!
Performances will feature tiny weenie, Irish and dynamic dances,  instrumentals, drama and plays, sensational speeches and a bundle of  bands.
This night of nights will be held at the Banora High school hall, August 4, with the doors opening at 6.30pm. Adults $10, children $5, Family (2x adults, 2x children) $25.
