Hat-trick hero

ADAM Marshall proved his skills are not just confined to the floors of parliament after snaring a hat-trick at the Sydney Cricket Ground last week.
Playing for a NSW Parliamentary XI in a corporate fund-raiser, the Northern Tablelands MP took three wickets with his first three balls on the MCG.
Marshall’s off-spinners proved lethal on a turning deck as he bowled his first scalp, had the next one caught, before capping it off with a stumping after he was charged on the hat-trick ball.
It was the MP’s first hat-trick in a career spanning from Gunnedah to Armidale.
Niall Blair top scored for the Parliamentary XI, while one of the highlights was a dropped catch by NSW Attorney General Greg Smith, who put down a “sitter”.
