City of learning

MORE than 1000 fresh faces flocked to Armidale on Monday for the opening of Orientation Week at the University of New England.
The bright-eyed students came from all over Australia and different corners of the world.
These three students didn’t have to go far to study at UNE, with Sarah McLauchlan coming from Bowraville, Alice Carmichael already in Armidale and Rachael Heagney making the short trip from Bendemeer.
More than 17,000 students have enrolled at UNE this year, with applications still open for another week.
