AROUND a dozen people were evicted for drunken and disorderly behaviour at A Day on the Green on Saturday.
There were reports of a number of fights between patrons at the music festival, staged at Petersons Winery.
Inspector Chris McKinnon said officers removed a number of people from the event and around five resisted police.
“We will be issuing those people with fines in the mail for failing to leave a licensed venue,” he said.
Break-in blitz
TWO houses in Armidale were broken into on Sunday night.
Inspector Chris McKinnon said the occupants of both premises were in their homes at the time.
“In both cases the offender has come into the house and stolen car keys,” he said.
“In one of those cases, a car from the property was stolen.”
Insp McKinnon reminded residents to make sure they secured their homes at night, as well as during the day, and keep valuables out of clear sight.
