MORE than 150 people, predominantly women and girls, packed the auditorium at the Armidale Bowling Club on Friday for Quota’s International Women’s Day breakfast.
Singers from the New England Conservatorium of Music wowed the audience before Professor Helen Ware spoke of her time as the Australian High Commissioner to Zambia, Malawi and Angola.
The Professor of Peace Studies at the University of New England engaged the audience in her speech, talking about her experiences with AusAID and the Australian Human Rights Commission.
The breakfast also raised funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
