Juniors take the lead

THE juniors take to the greens at Guyra this weekend with the singles on Saturday and the pairs on Sunday.
In the singles, Justin Bullen plays Nick Ellem and Jack Whitton plays Breanna Graham.
In the pairs on Sunday, Jack and Justin play Breanna and Nick and I wish them all good bowling.
In the final of the open state singles at Uralla on Saturday John McIlwain from Guyra won a thrilling match 31-30 over Lindsay McIntyre from City.
The number seven pennant players took to the greens at Uralla over the weekend and Ex-Services have taken a big step towards winning the district flag by winning all of their three games.
First up, they defeated Uralla 6-0 followed by a 4-2 win against Guyra and in the return match against Uralla they came away winning 4.5 to 1.5.
Guyra finished with a win against Uralla 5-1 and the loss to Ex-Services. The next round of matches will be at Guyra on 13 April.
This weekend the seniors take to the greens at Inverell East and New England will be represented by Claude McFayden, John Elliott, Frank Lipscombe, Jim Williams, Dave Kliendienst, John Jackson, Graham Smith and Vic Hudson.
Play commences on Saturday morning and finishes on Sunday when selectors will name three teams to travel to Ulladulla for the state finals in May.
