In brief
A 19-YEAR-OLD Manila man will go back to jail after he was found in breach of his parole on Sunday morning.
An arrest warrant was already out for the man, who had been staying in Armidale for some time.
Inspector Chris McKinnon said the man was charged with several break and enters in Armidale, as well as stealing a car.
He was charged under Skye’s Law after a police pursuit on Sunday morning.
Inspector McKinnon said the man fled after the pursuit, but was later tracked down by officers.
NB: Skye’s Law was introduced to NSW Legislation as a specific offence to ensure the imposition of tougher penalties on criminals who lead police on dangerous high-speed pursuits. It is named in honour of 19-month-old Skye Sassine who was tragically killed during a police chase on New Year’s Eve 2009.
