THE racing might have taken centre stage on Armidale Cup day, but the fashion stakes were equally important to many of those trackside in Monday.
With the sun beating down on a magnificent Armidale day, competition was fierce in the fashions on the field.
In the men’s department, Keith Ellis held off Jason Wright for the honours, while Lynda Lynch was a popular winner in the women’s section, ahead of Miriam Lott.
The winners each received a $250 gift voucher for Hanna’s store.
While the crowds were down this year, the social aspect of the Armidale Cup was once again reported to be the highlight of the day.
