ARMIDALE’S finest young auctioneers will put their skills to the test at the Royal Easter Show in Sydney later this month.
Blake O’Reilly and Luke Heagney will do battle against eight others in the NSW Young Auctioneers Competition.
Mr Heagney, 20, has been working for Armitage & Buckley for about a year, selling weekly at the Armidale sales.
His long-term plans include owning and operating his own stock and station agency business.
Mr O’Reilly, 19, who works for Landmark, has been in the game for four years.
He also wants to be a successful agent and auctioneer.
The Armidale pair will be assessed on their diction, values, voice and manner.
Members of the public will watch the young auctioneers strut their stuff under the big top ampitheatre at the Sydney Showgrounds.
