THE promise of youth was vivid in Lazenby Hall last week as more than 500 school students from the Northern Tablelands attended the inaugural Armidale Youth Expo.
Facilitated by Armidale Dumaresq Council, youth services co-ordinator Sally Schofield said the expo was a first-year hit.
“I think it was fantastic,” she said.
“We had 500 young people come through and a reasonable amount of people from the community.
“There were 50 stalls and, for the first year, I think it went really well.”
Students came from Armidale, Guyra, Walcha and even Boggabilla for the event at the University of New England.
