He was Australia’s 25th and second longest serving Prime Minister and now John Howard is coming to Kingscliff for a book signing and lunch.
Howard, who is promoting his newly revised autobiography ‘Lazarus Rising’, will take part in the lunch and signing on Tuesday, September 6 from 12.30pm at Babalou Marine Parade, Kingscliff.
The event is hosted by Kingscliff’s independent book store Boardwalk Books.
John Howard’s autobiography, ‘Lazarus Rising’, is the biggest-selling political memoir Australia has seen.
In it he talks about his love for his family, his rollercoaster ride to the Lodge and how, as prime minister — he responded to issues like illegal immigration and the war on terrorism. Drawing on his deep interest in history, he paints a fascinating picture of a changing Australia.
In the new revised edition he pulls no punches in analysing the cataclysmic lead-up to the 2010 election and the vexed political paradigm that emerged. From the carbon tax and the future prospects of the Greens and Independents to the contribution of Barnaby Joyce, Howard ranges freely across the contemporary political scene.
Essential reading for all followers of politics.
