More than 60 people attended the Red Apple breakfast at Cudgen Leagues Club this week.
Hosted by comedian Col Elliot, the event raised $1851.40 for Bowel Cancer Australia.
The ticket price included tea and coffee and fruit on arrival, a hot breakfast, lucky door and a gift and information Thank You bag.
Bowel Cancer is the biggest cancer killer in Australia and it can strike without warning.
Col Elliott donated his time and changed his travel plans to attend and entertain.
The morning also featured talks by Dr P Mallet PhD and bowel cancer patient Wal Smith.
This inaugural Tweed Coast event was organised by Aria Events and Entertainment principal Jayne Henry.
