Babalou Restaurant, Kingscliff played host to “A Fashionable High Tea” last week.
More than 50 Tweed Coast women headed along to enjoy tea, sandwiches and cakes.
With no formal runway, the guests were able to get up close and personal with the fashions of local designers Emma Milikins, Love Street and the vintage inspired swim wear of Kingscliff-based business Breathe Swimwear.
The event also had a serious side, raising money for a Gold Coast-based women’s refuge.
“It was a lot of fun,” organiser Kylie Mitchell Smith said.
“And we managed to raise a couple of hundred dollars.”
