In response

I am writing regarding the letter from Jim Warren (Tweed Coast Weekly Nov 11 2011) and I’ll endeavour to get things a bit more factual than did Mr Warren. I presumed no reply was forthcoming, so I destroyed the previous material, which started this correspondence. I do not remember whether Mr Warren was the originator of this ongoing correspondence, to which I replied on Oct 21 201,but, after reading the rambling from Mr Warren, I believe that I can rely on my memory, in recalling all the facts, instead of half the facts, which most people connected in any way with the Liberal party seem to espouse.
To start with, Mr Warren, I’ll pay you the courtesy of remembering your name, correctly, mine, of course, is Don Norris, and I believe that you were referring to me in your letter, and not two people (such as a Mr Morris). I’ll put you at ease, in case you were in doubt about my connections. I do not, and have never, belonged to any political party and was not involved in the running of any Union, I just paid my fees, when I was employed, up to retiring from the workforce, in 1991, at the age of 60yrs. I make up my own mind about anything that interests me and I am not easily led.
When I see anything that I know something about, and I believe it should be brought to the attention of people, who may not be aware of the facts, I feel that I have to say something, to the present day people who may not have the same knowledge that I have gained in the University of life. I would submit my letters to other newsprint that have a wider circulation, also, but they seem to have a close connection with the Liberal and National parties, and mostly it is a waste of time, don’t you agree? I believe that I wouldn’t have much trouble finding many people to agree with me in this matter, even the Editor of this HONEST, independent newspaper, who has no connection with the likes of the Murdock, Fairfax and Packer families, who only back the Labor party, when there is something in their policies for them.
As far as Menzies is concerned, the only thing of any use that he introduced was removing petrol rationing, and otherwise the Communists were only found at election times and after each win. He had poor Harold Holt deprive the people of something, which he re-introduced at the following election, and thus we had the introduction of his boom and bust policies. He used to come out with the crap about loving the Queen till he died and he was British to the boot heels, and his idol, little Johnny Howard thought that he could also follow this line, and make out that he was a Royalist, because he could con the people into believing that we should stick with the Queen, while the Queen, herself, couldn’t care less what we did. At least Malcolm Turnbull, who shows much more intelligence than Tony, who doesn’t, had the courage to come out and oppose Johnny when he rigged the question on the referendum paper, so that the people didn’t have a choice in expressing their wishes on the subject.
There is much more that could be written about the goings on in political parties, but if Mr Warren wishes to reply, I’ve got much more of the full facts that I can deliver to him, and thus expose a lot of the trickery that goes on with his chosen side of politics, trying to convince people of their honesty.
