Armidale is in for a vocal treat at the Music on a Market Sunday concert at 12.30pm in the Uniting Church on July 31. In ‘Four Voices: A Classical Song Recital’, Kylie Constantine, Kate Drayton, Liz Ellis and Inge Southcott will present a rapturous program of solos, duets, trios and quartets by Mendelssohn, Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi, Grieg and others. They will be accompanied by pianist Jan-Piet Knijff and violinist Jodie Ostenfeld.
The program includes a beautiful range of music, mostly well known, from the baroque period to the twentieth century. This is a great opportunity to hear some very fine singing from some of Armidale’s best voices.
Admission is free, but donations are encouraged. Tea, coffee and sausages will be available at the Uniting Church before the concert.
