Monday, January 30, 2012 is a momentous day for many families on the Tweed Coast, with excited four- and five-year-olds embarking on their first day of Preschool and Kindergarten at Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School.
Throughout the next couple of weeks uniforms will be purchased and tested out, new school shoes will be worn in just to get a feel for them and many a sleepless night by both parents and students will be had in preparation for the big day.
School Principal, Mr Chris Duncan said, “We look forward to welcoming the newest and youngest members of the Lindisfarne Grammar Community and setting them up on the path to a rewarding and fulfilling educational journey.”
Lindisfarne Grammar staff are already hard at work getting things ready for the new arrivals, with a Preschool and Kindergarten Orientation Day at Sunshine Avenue Campus on this week to fully prepare students (and parents) for their first day at school.
Meanwhile the region’s other kindergarten students are due to start on February 2, with new high schoolers beginning their next step in the education ladder at Kingscliff High on Monday, January 30.
