Discount retailer Dollars and Sense, located in the Armidale Plaza, was officially opened last Thursday by Armidale Dumaresq Mayor Peter Ducat.
The opening comes as part of the company’s local Australian expansion strategy, which has seen two new stores open in regional NSW over the past two years.
Operations Manager Peter Byars said the company was looking forward to its next phase of growth.
“Our Armidale store will help us increase our regional Australian footprint as well as allow us to achieve our objective that rural towns are provided with an extensive range of household and lifestyle products at a low cost,” said Byars.
The opening at Armidale marks the company’s twenty-sixth store in Australia and New Zealand, and the fifth store for the state of NSW.
