For Remembrance Day, the Friends of the Armidale Dumaresq War Memorial Library will be holding a morning tea, at which two well known speakers from the community, Ian Johnstone and Michael Sharkey, will discuss Australian men and women poets of 1914-18, in homage to those who died in foreign fields.
Ian will discuss WWI poetry of Australian Diggers and Michael WWI poetry of Australian Women.
The talk begins at 10.30am on Thursday, November 10, 2011, downstairs in the children’s section of the library. A gold coin donation to help with the work of the Friends would be much appreciated.
